CETAC Enhances Specialist Laser Expertise and Maintains European Technical Support

Following the announcement in September 2010 that CETAC Technologies had recruited Dhinesh Asogan as European Technical Specialist, we are pleased to announce that Dhinesh will transition into the global position of Laser Ablation Product Specialist to enhance our specialized laser ablation expertise, supporting growing interest and demand for our brand new range of laser ablation products.

With a strong analytical chemistry and engineering background, Dhinesh’s skill-set is ideal for the role. Dhinesh has recently completed an Engineering Doctorate in which he designed and validated an open, non-contact cell for laser ablation with particular emphasis on large sample handling and analysis within the semiconductor industry.  Dhinesh also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering Innovation Management and a first class honors Masters in Chemistry with Forensic Analysis.

Dhinesh will provide specialist technical support for CETAC’s laser ablation systems to end-user customers, sales channels, and OEM partners, globally, fielding product demonstrations, service, installation and training, and having input into future product enhancements and developments.

To retain continuity of support in Europe, we are also pleased to announce that the European Technical Specialist position vacated by Dhinesh Asogan has been back-filled with the recruitment of Dr Peter Winship.

With experience and excellent qualifications in atomic spectrometry, particularly ICP-MS, Peter’s skill-set is ideal for the position. Peter holds a PhD in analytical chemistry, focusing on ICP-MS, from the University of Loughborough, an MSc in Analytical & Pharmaceutical Science and a BSc in Applied Chemistry.  Peter previously worked as a Senior Analyst at MRC’s Human Nutrition Research center in Cambridge, UK, where he was involved in solving complex analytical problems related to atomic spectrometry measurement of biological samples and was responsible for the running of a laboratory operating several ICP-OES and ICP-MS instruments. Pete has also published numerous papers.

Pete will offer pre- and post-sales support to end-user customers, sales channels and OEM partners throughout Europe, performing technical sales and marketing duties, demos, installations and training, as required. Pete’s addition will maintain the strength of the company’s European presence by allowing us to continue to offer effective and proactive local technical expertise.
