CETAC Technologies Announces New Aridus II™ Desolvating Nebulizer System

The CETAC Aridus II™ is a new desolvating low-flow nebulizer system for ICP-MS. Building on the success of the predecessor Aridus I™, the Aridus II™ features a number of improvements: (1) enhanced sensitivity with the ability to accommodate a higher sample uptake rate; (2) improved signal stability; and (3) less susceptibility to electrostatic effects.

The fluoropolymer components of the Aridus II™ ensure resistance to HF-containing samples, while the membrane desolvator greatly reduces solvent-based mass spectral interference (ex. oxides and hydrides).

Applications include the introduction of geological and semi-conductor type samples for ICP-MS.
