Aridus II Desolvating Nebulizer/Membrane Desolvator

The CETAC Aridus II™ Desolvating Nebulizer System is a specialized accessory for all types of ICP-MS instruments. Particular benefits and features of the Aridus II™ include:

  • Sensitivity enhanced up to 10x or greater for ICP-MS
  • Patented PTFE membrane desolvator for extremely low oxide (CeO/Ce < 0.03%) and hydride levels
  • Modular design of membrane desolvator for easy removal and cleaning
  • Covered PFA spray chamber for reduction of electrostatic effects
  • Improved signal stability, even for organic solvents such as methanol
  • Equipped with the tunable Aspire PFA Nebulizer, with flow rates of 50, 100, and 200 µL/min

The figure to the right shows long term Aridus II stability data for a 1 µg/L spike into 100% methanol. For a 7-hour run the Aridus II demonstrates exceptional signal stability, with %RSDs at or less than 1%.

Additional performance data using the Aridus II with qudrupole and multicollector ICP-MS is given in the literature links at the left side of this page.
