CETAC makes every effort to provide software upgrades to our customers, but advances in technology and changes to hardware often make upgrades a complex process. The first step in determining whether or not your system is eligible for an upgrade to DigiLaz III is a visual inspection of the power supply:

If your power supply looks like the above then your system is eligible for an upgrade to DigiLaz III software based on the criteria below. |
LSX-500 laser ablation system (266 nm)
- Systems with serial numbers starting with 070801LSX-5 and including 020901LSX-5 can be upgraded to DigiLaz III with the purchase of a video upgrade package (part number SP8152). The video upgrade package includes all the necessary video hardware as well as the DigiLaz III software. Minimum PC requirements must be met.*
- Systems manufactured with serial numbers after 020901LSX-5 have all the current hardware available for the LSX-500 platform. The most current software upgrade is DigiLaz III version 3.2.2 which can be provided at no charge upon request.
LSX-213 laser ablation system (213 nm)
- Systems with serial numbers starting with 090601LSX-213 and prior to 110801LSX-213 (non-attenuated) and 010901LSX-213A (attenuated) can be upgraded with the purchase of a video upgrade package (part number SP8152). The video upgrade package includes all the necessary video hardware as well as the DigiLaz III software.
- Systems manufactured with serial numbers beginning with 110801LSX-213 (non-attenuated) and 010901LSX-213A (attenuated) have all the current hardware available for operation with DigiLaz III. The most current software upgrade is DigiLaz III version 3.2.2 which can be provided at no charge upon request. Minimum PC requirements must be met.*
- Systems manufactured beginning in April 2011 function under DigiLaz G2 software package. Prior versions of DigiLaz are not compatible. Minimum PC requirements must be met.*

- Operating System: Microsoft Windows® XP, Windows® Vista or Windows 7®
- Processor: Dual Core, 2.0 GHz clock speed minimum
- System Memory: 1.0 GB of RAM minimum
- Video: 1280 x 1024 minimum
- One available PCI slot, one available serial port and one available USB port (or two available USB ports if a serial port is not available)
