The Automation Product Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the Automation Product Manager for the assurance of product fitness for use by the end customer.  The primary function of the Product specialist is to provide detailed level support in the areas of technical and project coordination.  This may include testing and validation of the products and preparing documentation for support and also include coordinating efforts with engineering and manufacturing through the design and build process.  This is a position that requires travel which could be as much as 30%.

Automation products consist of multiple models of autosamplers, which are used in laboratories to automate the introduction of liquid samples into analytical instruments. 

• Preparing and validating detailed technical product documentation in a professional format.
• Performing application testing of products.
• Performing product demonstrations and training for customers.
• Work in a supporting, liaison capacity with a variety of disciplines, which include manufacturing, engineering, and customer service.
• Perform sales support to answer questions from Cetac’s direct customers, dealer sales force.
• Perform customer surveys/interviews which will entail regular customer calls/visits to understand how we can better serve our customers.
• The successful candidate will be involved in developing and launching new products.
• Assisting the Product Manager with market research to test the viability of new products.  

• Mechanical and/or electrical technical aptitude with an ability and desire to gain in-depth product knowledge quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at a professional and technical level
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment
• Self motivated and able to self schedule tasks to meet deadlines
• Working knowledge and experience with current Microsoft Office Products

• Technical Associates degree or 3 years technical experience
